Having been realtors for many years in Lebanon, we were discussing our frustration with the lack of quality in the “so called” renovated homes that we were showing to our real estate clients. New carpet and paint do not constitute a renovation!
Soon after, a house in Dorie’s neighborhood became available, which needed to be stripped down to the studs in most places. From foundation issues, an uneven flooring system, electrical and plumbing issues, rotten windows, wall removal and so much more, to say it was a difficult first project, is an understatement. There wasn't one surface in that first house that we didn't touch. We had no idea if our investment in high end finishes would pay off, so DeAnna said it would have to be nice enough for her to move into, if it didn't sell. It did sell and our business was off and running. Fast forward thirteen houses later, our goal of saving and restoring homes is a conscious investment in our community.
Our homes sell for a higher price per square foot, therefore, increasing the value of the neighboring homes around it. We are determined to slow down the "tear one down and build back many" mentality that many communities are seeing.
Putting numerous "tall and skinnys" where one house used to stand, is not what is best for our town. Single family homes attract families who then in turn invest in our community as well.
At the end of the day, our reputation is paramount and we always want someone who owns one of our homes, to be happy and secure in the knowledge they have a home that has been thoughtfully and carefully restored. We have been honored that families are now calling us to buy the homes of their loved ones because they know the house is going into good hands.
We love what we do. We spend many hours planning and designing our projects but as you begin to “peel back the onion” of any home, lots of surprises appear. Each layer of a home provides a new challenge and we work hard to restore it properly. It has been said that we “over do” our projects but we feel that is a compliment to our work.
We have been friends for over 40 years and business partners since 2018. We are hardworking, Christian women who have a deep concern for our families and community. Our projects are both beautiful and livable and will withstand the test of time.
